La iglesia de la Magdalena, situada en la ciudad española de Jaén, es una de las más antiguas de la misma, ya que fue construida a principios del siglo XVI, sobre una antigua mezquita, a su vez construida sobre un culto ancestral anterior.

El gran arco triunfal que la decora data de 1848. Este manantial de agua es el protagonista de la legendaria y más famosa leyenda de la ciudad de Jaén "El lagarto de la Magdalena" al ser identificada como su guarida. Muy cerca del Raudal se encuentra la escultura del lagarto en un pequeño estanque con la placa que lo conmemora.
